PAPER ELECTROPHORESIS OF SERUM PROTEINS IN THYROIDECTOMIZED RATS

Abstract
The highly significant decrease in total serum proteins following thyroidectomy was due to the decrease in the concentrations of the albumin and B-globulin fractions. In the data, the absolute values were significantly different from the normal controls. The a1 and a2 globulin fractions were not statistically reduced. However, no marked differences were noted considering the relative amount (%) of each fraction.
