Abstract
Asterostroma cervicolor (Berk. & Curtis) Massee and Trechispora brinkmanni (Bres.) Rogers and Jackson were found associated with rigid insulating materials and hardboards which were being evaluated in soil burial beds for their resistance to decay. Cultural characteristics of both fungi are described. The soil-block method was used to test the ability of the two fungi to decay rigid insulating materials and hardboards treated with various preservatives. Keywords
