Abstract
During the treatment of IRDS with assisted ventilation pneumothorax is a common and dangerous complication where an early diagnosis is important for the successful treatment. In this case report the continuous monitoring of transthoracic electrical impedance has proven to be a sensitive and non‐invasive method to detect the development of pneumothorax long before clinical signs are manifest. Keywords
