Abstract
A semiautomated system for the rapid evaluation of left ventricular regional wall motion is described. The system includes direct projection of the cineangiogram film on an X‐Y digitizer which is interfaced with a PDP‐9 computer. The ventricular model used to evaluate regional wall motion and the methods of data analysis are described. Validation of the accuracy of the technique and specific clinical applications are presented. It is concluded that this technique provides a rapid means of evaluating left ventricular regional wall motion and that the accuracy of the technique is acceptable for clinical application. Keywords
