Abstract
Strain FC18 of the pathogenic yeast Candida albicans is heterozygous at a gene required for synthesis of methionine and cysteine, and yields auxotrophic derivatives by induced mitotic segregation. Derivatives of FC18 are heterozygous at other genes. Genetic analysis of C. albicans is feasible using induced mitotic recombination. This publication has 27 references indexed in Scilit:
