Abstract
Calculations based on the modified Lomnitz law of damping show that the effect on a unit pulse can be conveniently expressed in terms of two variables, and results are found based on the new estimate of damping of the 14-month period. Separate calculations are made for the most probable value and values increased and decreased by the standard error. Previous results on the effect on rotations, the Moon's librations, and the rates of subsidence of its dynamical ellipticities and of gravity anomalies on the Earth are revised; the results are consistent with the facts. Keywords
