Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 79-year-old right-handed man was transferred to the hospital from a tuberculosis sanatorium because of progressive deterioration.He had been well until six months previously, when he began to be drowsy and to fall asleep while at work, and three months later he was dismissed from his job. Two months before entry, because of confusion and obtundation, he was admitted to another hospital, where physical examination was reported to be negative apart from lethargy and a temperature of 38.3°C. Three and a half weeks later nuchal rigidity developed, and the obtundation increased. A lumbar puncture revealed 540 . . .Keywords
