Abstract
From measurements of anisotropy of the γi tensor for TGS-type crystals its orientation in the crystal is determined and is found to coincide with that of the linear dilativity tensor α. A quantitative analysis of the principal values of both tensors is carried out applying the relation of Ehrenfest. Keywords
