Abstract
Summary: Equine complement reacts with sensitized sheep erythrocytes to form a complex that can be lysed with EDTA treated guinea pig serum. The complex formed is more labile than the corresponding human or guinea pig complexes. The maximal concentration of complex obtained decreases to an asymptotic value as the ratio of cells to equine serum is increased. At constant C′3, the lysis obtained is directly proportional to the concentration of complex.
