Abstract
The literature pertaining to the association of the face fly, Musca autumnalis , with infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis (IBK or pinkeye) is reviewed. Data currently available fulfill the criteria (similar to Koch's postulates) necessary to incriminate the face fly as a vector of Moraxella bovis . Attempts at face fly control can therefore be justified as part of a comprehensive IBK management program.
