Abstract
In nuclear magnetic resonance experiments, electrical current shims are used in order to improve the homogeneity of the magnetic field. The authors calculate the optimum radii of circular shims of the Anderson type (Anderson 1961) by the method of images, taking into account the effect of the permeability of the pole material. Keywords
