Abstract
Determination of the fibrinolytic activity should be performed in patients with recurrent thromboembolic disease. As a screening procedure the euglobulin clot lysis time test after venous occlusion is suggested. This test is sufficiently reliable and easier to perform than the fibrin plate method, especially outside coagulation laboratories. Keywords
