Abstract
In preliminary studies at the W. Virginia Agric. Expt. Sta., best results against the woolly apple aphid (Eriosoma lanigerum) were obtained with X-10 concn. of benzene hexachloride. For practical use, it should be made into a stock soln. at 20 lb. of 10% BHC/100 gal. and applied at 1 gal. of stock soln./tree or per 10 sq. ft. Detailed tables of results, etc., are included. All concns. of both benzene hexachloride and chlordane were extremely toxic to arthropod populations in the soils. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
