Abstract
Presentation of CaseA five-week-old girl was admitted to the hospital because of fever and petechiae.She was born of a full-term first pregnancy and normal delivery to a white mother of blood group A positive. The mother did not smoke or use alcohol or medications other than multivitamins during the pregnancy and experienced no complications. The fetal membranes ruptured one hour before initial uterine contractions, and labor lasted seven hours. The birth weight was 3.5 kg, and the Apgar score was 9/9. Macular, erythematous patches were observed on the right thigh and head at birth. The child was discharged . . .
