Abstract
Electron-spin-resonance and density gradient column techniques have been used to measure and characterize the effect of radiation on the electronic and mechanical properties of a low-thermal-expansion glass ceramic. Defect centers attributed to Zn+, oxygen hole centers (OHCs), Fe3+, Ti3+, and/or Zr3+, and two types of centers associated with arsenic have been observed; the radiation-induced compaction has been tentatively correlated with the OHC concentration. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
