Abstract
ε‐Caprolactam is converted to ε‐aminocaproic acid polymer by heating under pressure with water followed, by distillation of the water and heating at atmospheric pressure. The lactam is also polymerized directly to this polymer by a catalytic method in which sodiocaprolactam is the initiator. Keywords
