Abstract
In recent years, lactic acidosis has been described in association with metformin therapy in diabetics. A fatal case in an elderly diabetic patient with impaired renal function and cardiac insufficiency is reported. The patient presented with an elevated plasma metformin concentration and a concomitant digitoxin intoxication.Keywords
