Abstract
Soluble antigen production in a bovine turbinate cell line by 17 isolates of bovine viral diarrhea virus was studied. We showed that the quantity of soluble antigen produced may vary considerably between isolates. Further, the isolate producing the greatest quantity of soluble antigen produced a higher antibody titer in calves than an isolate producing only half as much soluble antigen. Keywords
