Abstract
PREFACE This report reviews certain aspects of medical education at all levels and identifies some of the current or projected problems for which the Council on Medical Education asked its six Task Forces to formulate recommendations. The report is not intended to be a comprehensive study of all aspects of medical education and its related activities, and not all problems related to maintaining and extending the quality of medical education are defined and addressed in detail. It does address, however, those issues and forces that very likely will have an important impact on medical education and its responsible institutions and agencies in the foreseeable future. The "Epilogue" to this report lists other issues noted by the Task Forces or by the Council to be in need of ongoing consideration or future intensive analysis. I.
