Abstract
Pyrophosphate (5 × 10−6 M to 5 × 10−6 M in the final aqueous solution) may be determined in the presence of similar concentrations of phosphate, other condensed phosphates, or some other anions, by measurement of its inhibitory effect on the extraction of copper(II) by Amberlite LA-1 into MIBK or ethyl acetate. The copper extracted is determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Keywords
