Abstract
A Fokker-Planck code in which the Rosenbluth potentials are calculated from the anisotropic distribution function has been employed to study the isotropization of initially highly anisotropic velocity distributions. The results show a fundamental difference between the isotropization of oblate and prolate distributions. Keywords
