Abstract
Phonon dispersion curves for zinc and beryllium, measured by neutron-inelastic-scattering techniques, have been used to determine the atomic force constants for the modified axially symmetric model developed by DeWames, Wolfram, and Lehman. However, calculations have revealed that statistically equivalent fits to the experimental data may be obtained from more than one set of parameters. Keywords
