Abstract
We have studied the switching process in twinned ferroelectric crystals where the domains in a sesction perpendicular to the ferroelectric axis are needles with only longitudinal motion. The velocity of an isolated domain tips versus applied electric field is given by v = k(E - ES). However, the interactions between the domain tips play a great role and in general the domain velocities are the result of collective phenomena. Keywords
