Abstract
Three hundred and seventy-one pregnant women were evaluated for folic acid deficiency and abruptio placentae. No correlation was observed and there was nothing to suggest that folic acid deficiency is a cause of abruptio placentae. Furthermore, our studies fail to show that during pregnancy there is a decline in serum vitamin B12 activity when measured with Euglena gracilis z strain. Keywords
