Abstract
Social class differences in male mortality by age and cause of death are presented using the most recently available data (1976-89) from the OPCS Longitudinal Study. Consistent differences in mortality by social class (as defined by occupation) are found through to the late 1980s. On a scale of increasing mortality disadvantage, mortality of men in Social Class I was the lowest and mortality of men in Social Class V was the highest. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
