Abstract
New esters of the type have been synthetized and their mesomorphic behavior studied by optical methods, X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry. Smectic and/or nematic phases have been observed for all the homologs. A complex polymorphism has been found for the smectic phases in some cases. Keywords
