Abstract
In a combined analysis of low-energy nucleon-nucleon and hyperon-nucleon scattering we have determined some of the parameters of the scalar-meson nonet. We find that the meson is dominantly a unitary singlet. Simultaneously, we obtain good values for the ratios and coupling constants for the pseudoscalar and vector mesons.
