Abstract
Fresh bovine bone, obtained from the diaphysis of a femur and a tibia, was used to determine the isoelectric point of bone particles. Particle electrophoresis equipment with a flat cell was used with a 4 electrode configuration. Bone has an isoelectric point near pH 5 and that the overall electrophoretic mobility of the bone particles was similar to that of collagen particles obtained from human Achilles tendon. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
