Abstract
We study the effect of short-range correlations using the renormalized harmonic approximation with Horner's modification of the pair-correlation function to allow for hardcore effects. Using a nearest-neighbor force model, based on Kr, the theory accounts quantitatively for Monte Carlo computer experiments at high temperatures. Keywords
