Abstract
The effect of spatial background turbulence on parametric interactions in an infinite, inhomogeneous plasma with a linear density profile is considered. It is shown that the wellknown convective saturation arising from the density gradient can disappear in the presence of turbulence. Absolute instability then occurs. The criteria for the existence of temporally growing modes are presented. Keywords
