Abstract
The Siemens goniometer provides data used in the representation of crystallographic preferred orientation by pole figures. The original goniometer has been modified by the addition of microcomputer controlled stepping motors and a 'pantograph' drive for setting diffraction angle. This low-cost modification provides valuable savings in operator time for the production, presentation and analysis of texture data. Keywords
