Abstract
Specimens of Carybdea sivickisi Stiasny are reported from the Cook Strait region of New Zealand. This is the first published record of a named cubomedusan (Cnidaria: Scyphozoa) from New Zealand. Some general observations are made on the appearance and behaviour of this species in captivity.Keywords
