Abstract
An analysis is made of symptoms in 1777 flights of patients with cardiac or pulmonary conditions. All flights were below 10,000 ft Arguments concerning air transportation of cardiac cases are discussed. In general, severe symptoms occurred. Moribund patients should not be transported by any means and patients with cardiac failure or respiratory embarrassment will require special consideration and proper flight attendance, but in general, a patient that can be transported by any other means can be transported by air. Keywords
