GASTRIC ULCERS SIMULATING INTRAMURAL, EXTRAMUCOSAL TUMORS

Abstract
Three cases in which the established roentgen criteria for the diagnosis of ulcerating intramural, extramucosal tumor of the stomach were satisfied, proved to be benign gastric ulcers. Since benign gastric ulcers may occasionally simulate ulcerating intramural, extramucosal tumors, a limited trial on a rigid peptic ulcer regimen may clarify the diagnosis in some cases.
