Abstract
Pteroylglutamic acid is essential to proliferation of chick oviduct tissue in response to stimulation by testosterone propionate. The diminished response of the oviduct to testosterone propionate observed in chicks deficient in nicotinic acid or riboflavin, however, can be explained on the basis of a nonspecific resistance to stimulation due to the concomitant inanition. Keywords
