Abstract
In slow-ion channeling cases, the stopping power and diffusion coefficient for electronic excitations are calculated making use of the linear-response theory. The velocity dependence and electron-density dependence (or position dependence) are shown. The Firsov theory for the stopping power is reconfirmed, and we show that the diffusion coefficient does not depend on the ion velocity in the velocity range considered. Keywords
