Abstract
Iceland lies in the middle of the North Atlantic. It is the largest volcanic island in the world, exclusively made up of lavas and other volcanic products. During most of the two latest geologic time-periods it has been the theater of a volcanic activity the manifold manifestations of which have proved to be of more than ordinary interest to the student. Keywords
