Abstract
Transition amplitudes for several iso-electronic sequences are computed on the frozen-core Dirac–Fock approximation using the B-spline method. The length and velocity forms of the oscillator strengths are shown to be equal numerically if the nonlocal effective vertex is used. These gauge-invariant values, when compared with other theoretical results aiming for the exact values of the oscillate strengths, show satisfactory quality. We also find a peculiar feature for some transitions. Keywords
