Abstract
Assuming the stripping process to take place mainly at the nuclear surface, expressions are derived for the differential cross sections for the processes in which one, two, or three nucleons are stripped from an incident particle by the target nucleus. Comparison between the derived formulas and experimental data was carried out for the (, ) and () reactions and shows fairly good agreement.
