How reliable is neuroradiology?

Abstract
On the basis of a review of 140 verified cases of intracranial space-occupying lesions, neuroradiologic procedures (plain roentgenograms, laminagraphy, pneumoencephalograms, and angiographic studies) have, considered as a whole, and accuracy of 92% in the detection and localization of such lesions and 64% in assessing the nature of the different lesions. In determining the extent of the lesions, neuroradiology remains somewhat unsatisfactory.
