Anomalous reflection of electromagnetic ion cyclotron waves from a plasma

Abstract
It is shown that an electromagnetic ion cyclotron wave can be reflected by a standing density ripple in a plasma flowing along an external magnetic field. An analytical expression for the total plasma reflectance is obtained.Keywords
