Abstract
Estimated values of Kow for chlorobenzenes and chloroanilines were produced by means of RP-HPLC. The method has a good predictive capability, giving similar results to direct experimental measures like the slow stirring method (SSM), at least within the single classes of compounds. Nevertheless for a good predictive capability each class requires a separate regression equation. Better estimations of Kow were obtained by means of a biparametric equation, valid for both classes of compounds, using as independent variables RP-HPLC values and second order molecular connectivity (2 X).Keywords
