Abstract
The electrical resistivity of liquid Cd-Cu, Cd-Zn and Cd-In systems has been measured from their respective melting points to about 680°c for Cd-Cu and 580°c for Cd-Zn and Cd-In. The nearly free electron theory of liquid alloys proposed by Faber and Ziman is qualitatively in agreement with the results for Cd-Zn and Cd-In, but there are discrepancies in the case of Cd-Cu. Fuller information about the partial structure factors of the Cd-Cu system may serve to dispose of these. Keywords
