Abstract
For pt.II see ibid., vol.10, p.573 (1977). A self-consistent surface calculation has been done for the jellium model of a metal surface using a non-local form for the exchange correlation potential. The effect of this potential on the surface dipole, image plane and zero coverage adsorbate dipole moment are considered. Keywords
