Abstract
The physical working capacity of adult Liberian males, living in areas with different malario-metric indices, was studied by bicycle ergometry and placed in relation to total haemoglobin. No major differences were found between fanners living in holo-endemic areas and mining company workers living in meso-endemic areas. This implies that there is no major impact of malaria on physical work capacity in these age groups. Likewise, no difference was found between the Liberian material and Swedish male normals in the relation between physical working capacity and total haemoglobin. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
