On Scoring Multiple Choice Exams Allowing for Partial Knowledge

Abstract
A scoring procedure for multiple choice exams which allows for partial knowledge and also allows the examiner to control the expected gain due to guessing is considered in this paper. The procedure is considered from an elementary game theory approach. Comparisons are given with other scoring methods.Keywords
