Abstract
A computer program has been written for the routine calculation of the probability of seismically induced liquefaction for level sand or silty sand sites. The method combines Seed's simplified method of assessing liquefaction potential with the Cornell method of assessing seismic hazard, by modifying the latter to consider the joint probability of magnitude and acceleration. The input data to the program are simple geotechnical data from SPT, CPT or laboratory tests, and readily obtainable regional seismicity data. The program is simple to use. Keywords
