Abstract
The meson-exchange-current contribution to the deuteron electromagnetic form factors is interpreted from a quark-interchange point of view. Introducing nucleon structure suggested by the quark model, the calculation of Chemtob, Moniz, and Rho is shown to be in qualitative agreement with recent experimental data. Keywords
