Abstract
1). Isotope dilution curves were obtained in 51 patients with left-to-right shunt. 2) As the cardiac dilution curve for ASD had a characteristic pattern, ASD was able to be differentiated from VSD by means of the dilution curve. 3) K·BT·10-1 of the pulmonary vascular dilution curve was represented as an index of the presence of the left-to-right shunt. 4) C2/C1 of the pulmonary vascular dilution curve was increased in proportion to the magnitude of the left-to-right shunt rate. 5) It was easy to detect the presence of the right-to-left shunt, using the 131I-MAA.Keywords
