Dielectronic recombination cross section forC3+

Abstract
Cross sections for the resonant collisional excitation 2s2p(Δn=0) accompanied by the capture of the incident electron to a Rydberg state, and subsequent decay of this state by radiation emission, are estimated for the C3+ target ion. They are typically of the order of 1∼2×1018 cm2 when averaged over an energy-bin size of 0.01Δec0.03 Ry, dominated by the high-Rydberg-state contribution.
